The following is a message from the PolyU:

Dear participant,

 

Thank you for your interest and registration for PolyU Global Student Challenge (GSC) 2013.

Please be reminded that all teams are required to submit online your business plan, executive summary and authorization form on or before Saturday 1 December 2012 GMT 23:59. Any submission after the stated deadline WILL NOT be processed.

Points to note

About your team's registration:

• Please ensure all information of your team members are correct and up-to-date, as that will be the composition of your team and only those qualified team members listed will be sponsored to/from Hong Kong should your team is being shortlisted to the Semi-Final round.
• Please ensure your institution name is the official one and is spelt out in full instead of abbreviated.
• For fairness’ sake, teams are required to identify themselves in the submissions using the Team Names, NOT the institution names in the business plans or such plans will NOT be assessed. Please ensure your team name has NO association to that of your representing institution. You should NOT be using short form of your institution name as your team name, for e.g., PolyU team for that representing The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
• Country on the registration form refers to country of your institution. Please revise if you have put down your country of birth/nationality instead.
• Each participant can only join one team per Challenge. Any team with any of its team members joining more than one team in the 2013 Challenge will be disqualified.
• Any submissions made after the above stated deadline WILL NOT be processed and such team will be treated as abstaining from the PolyU Global Student Challenge 2013.
• In each division, only a maximum of one team per institution will be shortlisted.

About the business plans:

• Each business plan should be no more than 20 A4 pages (secondary school division) / 25 A4 pages (university division), including table of content, main body text and appendixes, in legible font size. Pages outside the stated limit WILL NOT be assessed.
• All documents must be in ENGLISH and in PDF file format, each of which should not exceed 5MB.
• Each team can only make one submission and once submitted, the files cannot be replaced.

 

To edit your team's information:

1. Using the login name and password issued to you earlier, login to your team account at: http://www.polyu.edu.hk/polyuchallenge/enter_the_challenge/team_login.php
2. Click "Team Edit" and edit any fields deemed necessary. Once completed, click "Submit" at the bottom of the page to complete the process.

 

To submit your business plans, executive summaries and authorisation form:

1. Upon login, follow the same path above, click "Documents submission"
2. Enter your "Project title" with no more than 10 words
3. Select the "Project Subthemes"
4. Enter "Project Synopsis" with no more than 150 words.
5. Click "Browse" (or click “Choose File” if you are using Safari as browser) to select the required documents you wish to upload
6. If you are a joint team, each participating institution is required to submit an authorisation form. Click "+ Authorisation Form" to select another authorisation form
7. Click "Clear" at the bottom of the form if you wish to clear all fields and re-select the files
8. Click“Save” if you want to temporarily save your submission. Click "Submit" to complete your uploading submission.
